Creativity with country in mind.

Our content is designed to be authentic. We approach its creation through a first nation lens, with country in mind. All produced vision and music is original.

Red Handed Productions will ensure all videos and photos are customizable to each client’s needs.

Red Handed Productions began as a ragtag group of creatives that wanted to make films, share Simpsons quotes and give aspiring actors a chance at building their showreels. Bringing life to the works of local screenwriters and building teams that inspired each other and allow space for filmmakers to flex their creative muscles. SInce its humble beginnings the company has grown and changed into a corporate creative outlet.

We work like a yarn circle, giving everyone an equal voice in the creative process. Led by Sasha, this core value has seen us produce content for government organisations, social enterprises, local communities, businesses and individuals. We build clean visual content.

The Founder

Sasha has always been immersed in a culture that celebrates dance, song and dreaming. This lifestyle had her continuously surrounded with creativity from a young age. She was able to express her identity through her creativity.

Her passion for storytelling was sparked through the way a photographer can evoke a tale through a single image. Sasha spends her time learning about the stories people want to share and helps them to express their creativity and culture with the world.

Sasha is a Malyangappa woman and the proud descendant of May Hunt (the first Indigenous woman to break in horses), born on Darumbal country and has been educated and raised in Kabi Kabi ways. She fondly remembers her Nanna telling her that her blonde hair was due to the family running low on ochre before she was born.

She has a Bachelors of Creative Industries through USC where she was credited as both director and producer for her award winning film Fallen (2019).

Sasha’s credits extend to being a writer, producer and director of THUMP’s music video Shake It, which was awarded a yewwy in the inaugural Sunny Coast Showdown, an attachment editor for Burrumbi Kids (screening on NITV in 2022), and currently creating a documentary titled WE ARE ONE to educate people on the stories of the First XI and shed light on cricketing for mob in Australia. Sasha is currently DOP on a documentary Wongari’s in the dust to educate on the cultural areas and respect for the Wongari (dingo) on K’Gari and you may have seen her recent work (2022) “The Valley” projected on the Judith Wright Arts Center in Brisbane.

In 2021 Sasha was placed in the Courier mails Sunshine Coast most influential 30 under 30s.

When not working on film projects or photographing Sasha can be found in the local community planning and organising Wan’diny NAIDOC’s events or performing in local dance and aerial shows.
